 Greetings, everyone — and thank you for your continued support of CCBRA.

From the very beginning, our mission has been to make Barrel Racing great again — by fostering community involvement and hosting professionally sanctioned races that uplift spirits and bring people together.

We are deeply honored to announce that, with the gracious support and blessing of the Frehner family, we have the green light to move forward with the Dr. Shawn Frehner Memorial Race. This special event will take place at Horseman’s Park in Las Vegas in 2026 — the exact date is still pending.

This race is open to all. Whether you ride a dressage horse, a mule, or even a stick horse — we welcome you. In honor of Dr. Frehner’s lifelong work and passion for the community, a “Novice” class will be introduced to encourage broad participation.

Additional Highlights:

• A Silent Auction will be held during the event. While we’re not currently accepting donations, we are forming a committee to oversee the auction. Once we’re ready, an official announcement will be made via our website and Facebook page, in coordination with the Frehner family.
• We kindly ask for your continued respect and privacy for the Frehner family as they navigate this period of grief.
• A dedicated section of our website, “Forever in Our Prayers – Dr. Shawn Frehner,” has been created to honor his memory. We invite you to share photos, memories, and stories that the family can treasure.
